My Favorite Makeup Videos

Over the summer, I met someone who was fantastic at doing makeup and not just her own, she could look at all of my friends and tell us exactly what colors we should use and different things that would look good. It was incredible! Doing my own makeup has been something I have been meaning to really start practicing for years now, and after meeting her, I finally committed myself to really trying.

I have been practicing for a few weeks now and it's really starting to pay off. I have to admit, it was a little overwhelming at first because I had no idea where to start. The girl I met told me she watches a lot of youtube videos, but most of those were a little complicated for me. So I googled makeup for beginners and I found a lot of really great articles that included basic tips and fairly inexpensive products to practice with.

After that, I decided to give videos a try again. I looked for ones labeled beginner, easy, or daytime (these tend to be not as complex as the nighttime looks and they are more practical). These quickly became my new obsession! I love getting new looks for a specific palette, or even if you want to work on just one thing. For me, I usually see how people do eyeliner because I am particularly awful when it comes to applying eyeliner.

The person who made this video advertised it as a natural prom makeup tutorial, but I think that it could be used much more often than just prom.

Three:// Gold Smokey Eye

This may seem a little crazy, but I am obsessed with gold eyeshadow. It goes perfectly with my skin and eye color that it is my go to if I don't know what to do.

Currently, my favorite makeup product I own is the Naked 3 because I love all the different looks that you can create with it. I found out after I bought it that apparently if you have blue eyes you should buy the Naked 2. However, I still really like it. The colors are different from any other shadows I have and it always looks great. Below are my favorite Naked 3 videos and they are all from the same channel. These are just two of her videos on this palette and she has tons of others that I would highly recommend checking out.

I think this video is my absolute favorite! I use it all the time, but sometimes the full look is a little too much so all I so is use a little less of the color dark side.

This video is from the same channel as the one above and I love this one as well. It is a little more subdued than the first one, and because I do not really like dramatic makeup, I think this one is perfect.
